The Celtic Willow Bookstore

  • Used books, Celtic items, and tea

  • After working in the energy industry for over a decade, owner Jamie Vail decided that a stroke of bad luck was actually a chance for a new beginning. The Celtic Willow got its name from the celtic zodiac. Born in May, the month of the willow, Jamie has always felt a connection to nature, trees and her strong Irish roots. When looking for a name for her bookstore, she found that the willow symbolizes femininity, wisdom, rebirth, vitality and the rhythm of the circle. It is known for its ability to bend and not break.

Inspiration Beads

  • Inspiration Beads combines the healing properties of semi-precious stones with natural wood, glass, clay, and metal elements to create unique bracelets and earrings.

  • Since starting my business in 2016, we’ve added Clay Heishi Hoop Earrings, Silicone Bead Keychain Wristlets, and have expanded our bracelet collection to include five bead sizes, diffuser bracelets and a children’s collection.

Inspiration Beads are hand-created by Amy Chiarelli in Reading, PA.

Knife Sharpening This Week:

Berks County Edgeworks

My name is Dave, and I'm a knife sharpening nerd that decided to turn my hobby into a business serving my community. I offer sharpening services focused on kitchen knives, but I also love to sharpen pocket knives and outdoor/camping/hunting knives. I do not offer sharpening for serrated blades, or for any non-knife blades at this time (no scissors, etc.).

All sharpening is done by hand on high quality Japanese whetstones. Each blade is individually evaluated to ensure the correct stones are used, guaranteeing that you end up with the ideal final edge on each and every knife in your collection.

I will be sharpening small numbers of knives on site at the market. For larger numbers of knives, I will take them home to my workshop and contact you to arrange delivery of your sharpened blades back to you (either delivery to your home, or you can pick them up from me on my next market date).
